haha i just came back from indonesia yesterday and its confir that one sing dollar equals to seven thousand seven hundred rupiah. Actually it sounds like alot but actually its not really alot sice the stuff there can run up to hundred of thousands. But still the things there are definitely cheaper than here in Singapore. Obviously right?haha yup so i suggest if you're a girl, that place is definitely a good place for you to shop at. The girls stuff sold there are quite cheap. My sister bought alot of stuff and almost everything is under sing 10 bucks per item of course. But for guys the stuff there aren't really that great to boast about actually. The normal fake polo tees are about 100,00 rupiah so thats about 10 plus plus bucks for a fake brand polo. Not much of a diff since you can get two fairly good one at hang ten for 30 bucks which is 14 bucks for one.
But overall the whole trip was quite good for me. Better than i had expected actually. The whole purpose of the trip was to go with my dad for his ministries there. We went to those rural area churchs and also to the orphanages that he had been visiting the past few months like once a month and stuff but the experience was kind of great and its one that you can never experience here in this urbanised world of Singapore. the whole trip was four days and each day was a new experience with different things done.
The first day was kind of like a load bearing trip and a bit of a shocker also. The stuff we brought there came in the tons of baggages like those kind of ah tiong bags and alot of those luaggagues that was packed wih toys and old clothes. Imagine we have like a total of 6 bags of stuff not including our own bags with our own clothes. so we were like santa claus i can imgaine carrying all those bags all the way there from singapore. When we reach there we had to wait like a whole hour and more to board the next boat to Lobam a rural area to visit the rural church. We stayed in some cheap hotel which was actually quite good for my standards but obviously not for my mon's since she was complaining about it there. We got to the rural church by van through some very dark streets and stuff. But the service was good lah the singing was good too pastor prima's wife was a good singer and also the rest of the people there can seing very well even though i dont understand what they are talkin abt the whole time. Basically the church is very simple and can be very much improved given a little more support. Furthermore the living area for the pastor and his family is also very small so they definitely need a bigger space for them to live in. But that was the first day it ended with a somewhat java dinner which my mother had some difficulty with. But thegood thing is that i got to try out laylay fish or something very nice actually to my surprise.
the second day was more of travelling most of the time actually. we travelled from one end of the island to the other. we started off in the morning and reached this place called Tri Kora. My dad in te hopes of wanting to stay in the kelong there but we were kind of against it cause the place was really not good and very boring wih nothing to do so we decided to head down to the city area to stay. Finally we reached the hotel and was very relieved to find it very comfortable yet simple and cheap as well.
he third and fourth day will come tml.
